If you’d like to get your boat to Tumblehome but have no trailer, or if you have a boat, such as a Fay and Bowen, that could easily be damaged by being loaded onto a typical boat trailer meant for a fiberglass hull or a mahogany runabout, Tumblehome has the answer.
We use a state of the art Brownell marine hauling trailer. It has an air-ride suspension with fully articulating hydraulic arms that can adjust to carry safely everything from a delicate, 30 foot long torpedo stern launch with a five foot beam, to a keel sailboat with a four and a half foot draft.
We have the experience with a variety of hull shapes and designs so we know where and how to support them and transport them safely.
We are fully insured, as well, so the boat is insured in case of an accident. Not many of our competitors carry this.
So much of our restoration work involves repairing damage from improper hauling and storage, that we’ve become well-acquainted with what can go wrong.
So don’t let hauling come in the way of a proper restoration for your boat. Tumblehome Boatshop can help.
