Tumblehome 24: Stella Blue

“Stella Blue” is a new build, a fully custom 24-foot speedboat that we completed and launched in 2015. Tumblehome Boatshop selected the talented design team of Stephens Waring Yacht Design for this Tumblehome 24 model. Working closely with our client and Stephens Waring, we collectively achieved a custom one-design that is a nod to the classic long-deck Gold Cup racers of the 1920s. But unlike those boats, which prefer to go one speed–fast, this one has been designed with a deep-vee hull to help keep the long deck more level as the boat gets up to speed, making her just as enjoyable for a cocktail cruise. And with a marinized Corvette V-8, she’ll move. She’s been designed with other innovative features such as electronically actuated engine and aft hatches — the latter which open to reveal a stern platform and boarding ladder for a mid-lake swim.
